I am first and foremost a coach with 15 years’ executive level coaching experience. I entered this field through HR, starting my career with Hewlett-Packard in the UK (recruitment and training, then European compensation and benefits). I diverted into consultancy and never left, I love it, and became a director of a London and Bahrain-based HR consultancy in 1988, with a team of 24.
In 2001, I joined Mercer, one of the world’s largest HR consultancies, as Head of Assessment and Development in London. I led talent management projects with multi-nationals in the UK, Europe and the US, before leaving to train and qualify as a coach. After a year with an executive coaching firm in London, Richard and I moved to Dubai in 2004 and set up Davos Consulting Group.
Our coaching and assessment projects have taken me across the region and beyond, working with some amazing big and small organisations, individuals and teams. I don’t specialise in any particular sector, but particularly enjoy working with automotive, airlines, high-end retail and consulting engineering firms.

Drawing on my extensive knowledge and expertise in HR management I help organisations to achieve high levels of effectiveness and sustainable competitive advantage through people.
I enjoy working with boards of directors and family owners, developing business models and governance structures, and mentoring leaders to optimise personal and organisation performance.
In 2014 I consolidated my years of advising boards and directors by gaining the Certificate of Directorship from Mudara Institute of Directors, based in DIFC, Dubai. This equips me to assist boards set up effective governance structures and take on non-executive directorships.
With extensive experience in the Middle East and Europe, I have led large cross-functional projects transforming management practice in major organisations. These have included organisation development, improving recruitment and retention systems and creating performance-based executive reward structures.
Over the last 20 years, I’ve worked across all the GCC countries in sectors including oil and gas, automotive, financial services, retail, government and government-owned Institutions and multi-generation family-run conglomerates.
I began my career with British Airways then moved to Hewlett-Packard as Northern European HR Manager, based in Amsterdam. Promotion led to an exciting period as HR Director at a start-up operation in Bristol – a manufacturing facility and world-class research laboratory. I then established and directed a consulting firm in London and Bahrain, and later lead Mercer’s M&A consulting practice in Europe. Proudly, I was the pioneer of Mercer’s business in the Middle East region before returning to what excites me most: working directly with clients to make their organisations more successful, and working with The Courtyard Playhouse team.
